Feels like Summer
Last Saturday the weather was around 80 and Leni got her hair cut into a cool bob. Then we spent evening at a park watching our 12-year old friend Luke’s little leagure game. Luke’s younger brothers, Theo and Alex, are close to Leni’s age and some of her best buddies. The kids played on the playground next to the baseball field and we all ate some great pizza from Tastebud.

My Silk Dyed Easter Eggs
Easter was low-key at our house as we don’t really celebrate it in any religious fashion. Leni decorated eggs with my mom and lots of glitter and I did my new tradition of the past few years which is silk-dyed eggs. Leni woke up with a bang ready to get candy and hunt for eggs. I took her to see an Easter Bunny at the Humane Society (as well as some real bunnies). She said, “It was just a person in a bunny costume. I was not impressed.” She liked seeing all the real animals, though. That evening we had a great meal at Zach and Christina’s: Sesame noodles and lamb cake.

Jeremy’s 37th Bday Last Saturday
Leni was super excited for Jer’s bday and baked him cupcakes with crazy lime, aqua, silver, and various shades of pink frostings. He was working at Glendoveer that day with the old folks, so we brought the cupcakes in to work to share them with other staff and visit some of the resident’s who love seeing Leni, of course. She is really great with them and asks to go to work with me.
